We are proud to introduce the newest star in the
Holland
Gardens plant inventory, TifGrand® certified Bermuda grass plugs. TifGrand® is available in 72 count plug trays and these easy to transplant plugs can be shipped to any area of the continental US where any variety of
Bermuda grass has been proven to do well.
TifGrand® was developed by Dr. Wayne Hanna from the
University of
Georgia at their testing and research center in
Tifton,
Georgia over a 10 year intensive breeding program. Other famous cultivars from this prestigious research center include Tifway 419® and Tifton 10® hybrid Bermudas.
Holland
Gardens is the only licensed producer of TifGrand® certified hybrid Bermuda grass plugs in the nation. Our quick service, accompanying planting instructions and the availability of the Earth Auger® planting tool makes the planting of TifGrand® an easy experience.
TifGrand® will grow and thrive in full sun, but has been bred to tolerate and thrive in areas of extreme shade up to 60% to 70%. This includes areas under trees with competitive roots and areas in between homes or other shady areas where other Bermuda grass will not grow and prosper.
